"ECOREGION-a nationalpark as a location factor for SMEs in order to create new jobs and regional added value" is an international co-operation of regions in Austria, Ireland, Finland, Latvia and Czech Republic. The main aim is to create sustainable jobs by the use of the regional potential and by the use of new technologies without neglecting the environmental conservation aims of the nationalparks.
The ECOS/Ouverture programme (1996-2002) is used for the development of external interregional co-operation. It provides the necessary official framework, structures, procedures and internal rules for the development of projects which involve public actors on local level.
